As a result of the energy and dedication of the local Comhaltas branch, Navan town and its environs
offer so many opportunities for anyone who wants to get involved in Irish Music…if you can play
already, or perhaps are new to the town, why not come to one of our sessions as listed on this
website..we would love to have you join us…!!
Or if you feel rusty or just have never played any traditional instrument but would love to try, why
not start attending our weekly Comhaltas Classes in Beaufort College..we have something for
everybody ….tin whistle, fiddle, flute, banjo, accordion, mandolin, Sean-nós dancing..and excellent
teachers..! And we have Adult set-dancing in Baile Ghib on Monday’s nights..!

Our Children’s Classes are very well established and our Teaching Staff must take a lot of the credit
for their success. We offer a wide variety of classes and lots of choice regarding day, time and
instrument. Our children are given lots of opportunities to play in public..for instance -at Shows in
the Solstice and the Community Centre, in the Shopping Centre, the St Patrick’s Day Parade, at
Christmas Concerts etc. The teachers also encourage the children to participate in the Meath Fleadh
held every May.
